Depends what you want to do, in the beginning there are perks to level up hotm and get lots of powder but at the end you can either spec into mithril or gemstone mining which each have different paths. Mithril mining relies mostly on efficient miner, and mining fortune and mining speed 1 and 2. Once you are HOTM 7, reset your HOTM tree and get these perks: Mining Speed Mining Fortune Daily Powder Efficient Miner Peak of the Mountain Mole Powder Buff Fortunate Great Explorer None of the other perks really matter, but you can put tokens in anything else.
